Organisation
The Centre is headed by a Director, provided by Italy as the Framework Nation.
The organisational structure is being developed around five branches aligned with the four NATO COE pillars: Concept Development and Experimentation, Doctrine and Standardisation, Education and Training, and Analysis and Lessons Learned, complemented by a Support Branch.
To ensure a comprehensive level of expertise across its branches, the Centre is being established with officers bringing specialist backgrounds in Submarine Operations, Mine Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare, ASW Air Operations, Maritime Special Forces and Diving.
Following the signing of the Operational MOU, a Steering Committee will be formed as the governing body of the Centre, composed of one representative from each Sponsoring Nation and chaired by Italy. It will be responsible for the guidance and supervision of all activities and administration.
